President Boakai Arrives in the US to Address UNGA and Engage Diaspora Community

Liberian President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr., arrived in the United States on September 8, 2023, to address the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), and to galvanize support from the Liberian diaspora.
The Liberian leader and delegation were met on arrival at the Dulles International Airport in Virginia by the Liberian Ambassador accredited to the US Dr Al Hassan Conteh.

President Boakai Makes the Case for Liberia in Japan

Washington DC, 08/21/25: Since his arrival in Japan, for the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr. has met several key leaders to make the case for a stronger bilateral cooperation between Japan and Liberia.
An Executive Mansion release noted that President Boakai met with Japanese Prime Minister, Shigeru Ishiba in a meeting that provided an opportunity for both leaders to reaffirm the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation existed between Liberia and Japan for more than six decades.
