VP Boakai to Hold Town Hall Meeting With Liberian Community Members

Vice President Joseph N. Boakai, Sr., who is heading the Liberian Government’s Delegation at the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, invites Liberians and friends of Liberia to a town hall meeting on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. The town hall meeting is scheduled to take place at 6: 30 P.M. at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 7005 Piney Branch Road, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20012.In light of the health emergency in Liberia due to the spread of the deadly Ebola disease, Vice President Boakai will use the town hall meeting to brief Liberians in the Diaspora and friends of Liberia about efforts the Government of Liberia and our international partners are making to contain the deadly virus.All members of the Liberian communities, especially those in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia Metro Area, Delaware, Philadelphia, and those who are able to, are encouraged to attend and share their ideas as to how we can come together in the fight against Ebola.
