The Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art warmly welcomed Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on, Sunday, May 18 2014. During her visit, President Johnson Sirleaf extended congratulations to the museum for its 50th anniversary. She also took in the recently opened exhibition "Visions of the Forests: The Art of Liberia and Sierra Leone." NMAfA Director Johnnetta Betsch Cole and deputy director and chief curator Christine Mullen Kreamer accompanied Johnson Sirleaf and shared with her insights about the museum and the exhibition.
