August 13, 2025 Washingron D.C.- The Embassy of the Republic of Liberia presents its compliments to the United States Department of State (Office of the Chief of Protocol), all Diplomatic and Consular Missions, Representatives of the United Nations Specialized Agencies, and other International Organizations accredited to the United States of America, and the Liberian community in the United States of America, and has the honor to convey, with profound sorrow, the passing of the Honorable Sylvester M. Grigsby, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs and Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic of Liberia, on 9 August 2025, in Houston, Texas, United States of America.
The late Minister Grigsby was an esteemed statesman, a venerable diplomat, and a distinguished public servant who dedicated his life to serving the Republic of Liberia and the global community.
In honor of the memory of Hon. Grigsby, a Book of Condolence will be opened from Wednesday, August 14, 2025, to Friday, August 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Embassy of the Republic of Liberia (5201 16th Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20011).
